On the evening of December 5, Beijing time, General Motors announced that it would work with LG Chemical to produce battery monomer on a large scale and apply it to the company's future electric vehicle products. Its battery factory is expected to start construction in the middle of 2020. After completion, the annual capacity will exceed 30GWh, and the production scale can be flexibly expanded according to demand. The two sides will invest US $2.3 billion to form a new joint venture, with 50% shares respectively.
